Now that you are all excited about latkes, I am going to bait and switch you.  This is actually a recipe for Irish Potato Cakes.  They are more closely related to dinner rolls than any potato product.

2 cups self-rising flour

1 1/2 cups mashed potatoes

2 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup milk

salt

Caraway seeds

The Problem with Pewter? PDF Print E-mail
Backyard - Tutorials

I recently went on an internet search to find the commonly accepted significance of pewter, such as one would for silver, gold, etc... I found bunches of ads for jewelry, but very few results for what effect the pewter might have on the jewelry. What I did find was not encouraging. The article claimed that pewter was a terrible thing to make pagan jewelry out of because it was not very conductive (or did not hold energy charges for long periods of time). At first, I started to wonder about pewter, was it really just a cheap excuse for silver, except without the meaning?

 I came to the conclusion that this was not so, certainly pewter must have something to offer pagans, witches, etc... (whatever type of magic, healing, or energy user someone might consider themselves to be). Perhaps this very lack of conductivity could be a good thing?

YET are they here the same unbroken knot
Of human Beings, in the self-same spot!
Men, women, children, yea the frame
Of the whole spectacle the same!
Only their fire seems bolder, yielding light,
Now deep and red, the colouring of night;
