SparkPeople, founded a few years ago, is one of the most influential and award winning health and fitness sites on the world wide web.  It is completely free, and offers advice for people looking for all sorts of health, fitness, and weight loss/gain advice.  They focus primarily on goal setting, and teaching small steps and encouragement, in contrast to many other diets of restriction and punishments.
